This car was run in the Castle Combe saloon series with a 1.8 engine.
Now fitted with a fully rebuilt 1.4 engine and gearbox, to run in Class D, Hot Hatch Challenge.
Gearbox has Fiesta 150 ST internals, with a long 1st gear, and 4.06 ratio final drive.
Engine has fully modified head, ported alloy manifold with 52mm alloy throttle body.
Cold air intake with Ramair filter.
Alloy high flow radiator, with front mount electric fan controlled by a switch.
K maps ECU has been remapped for the 1.4 engine.
Power is 121.8 hp at 6905 rpm, Torque is 96.6 lbs at 6346 rpm. Will make more on ITBs.
Power starts at 4500 rpm up to 7200 rpm limit.
Uprated clutch with drive torque paddle plate.
Custom 2.5 in exhaust system, with cat, and side exit.
Engine and gearbox solid mounted.
Suspension all poly bushed, neg camber plates on the rear. Wheel spacers front and rear.
Gear linkage rose jointed and modified to reduce throw and play in the linkage.
Front brakes are 160VVc with yellow stuff pads, new drum set up at rear. Brake lines inside the car.
Tilton brake bias lever in the cockpit to adjust rear bias.
Gaz Gold race suspension, 2.5 id springs, 550 lbs front, 350 lbs rear. Adjustable front top mounts.
Spare set of 600 1b springs.
Running on hairpin alloys, 6.5 x 16 with Nankang NS2-Rsemi slick tyres.
Quality race seat and Schroth harness, removable suede steering wheel.
Full bolt in Safety Devices roll cage, with multiple door bars.
Plumbed in fire extinguisher. Glass windscreen, all other windows plastic.
Fuel lines in car with dry break connectors at the bulkhead. Adjustable fuel regulator.
New Racetech mechanical oil pressure and water temp gauges.
Lightweight race battery. New starter fitted.
Alloy Fab fuel tank in spare wheel well, with new fuel pump and filter. One way tank breather under car.
